Autumn Forest

Last week  we finally had (read – made- ) time for a long hike in the autumn forest at the Veluwe. Unfortunateley we chose exactly that forest (Kroondomein Het Loo) that was very limited accessible because of the deer that needed rest. Nevertheless we had a great day. The weather was typically Dutch, sun, rain and wind, so now and then we had to seek shelter under a tree, and that’s were I found this beautiful birch bark. The colours and surface of this bark are amazing and reminded me immediately at Norway. I am still looking for a way to make birch suitable for a book cover …
